Charitable Performance
We believe in the power of art and entertainment to bring joy and create a sense of belonging. We have partnered with NGOs and employment agencies to organize monthly charity performances. These events feature talented individuals from various backgrounds, including musicians, magicians, and more, who volunteer their time and skills to entertain and engage with migrant domestic workers. It's a wonderful opportunity for workers to relax, have fun, and feel appreciated.
Legal and Financial Support
Knowledge is power, and we aim to empower migrant domestic workers by informing them of their rights and providing them with practical skills. In collaboration with employment agencies, we offer lectures that cover the legal rights of migrant domestic workers under the laws of Hong Kong and Shenzhen. Additionally, we provide support for those undergoing legal cases.
But we don't stop there! We also offer classes in various areas including:
(i) English language
(ii) Computer science
(iii) Handicrafts
Our hope is that by providing migrant women with a stronger general knowledge base and practical skills, we can help them navigate their daily lives more easily and open up new opportunities for them.
Research Assistant
As part of our commitment to advocacy, we are actively involved in academic research that focuses on the experiences and challenges faced by migrant domestic workers in Hong Kong and Shenzhen. Our research is used to inform policymaking and advocate for the rights of these workers.
